The UFR was founded in 1969 with the aim of promoting training and research in clinical psychology and psychopathology. It is distinguished as one of the first establishments to develop “university psychoanalysis” in France. Over the years it has gained international renown, which is evidenced by the significant number of international students who enrol for courses at all levels of university teaching. The name “Clinical Human Sciences” reflects the close links that the clinical aspect maintains with other fields of knowledge concerning man and society (anthropology, philosophy, linguistics, literature, etc.).
